cement trucks can be pretty too. other than that though, i am in a much better mood. friday night ended up being pretty fun, after the whole deal of me missing a bus, and being late to meet nick, and then people deciding not to come with us. and then there was the whole thing about the movie being sold out. i swear there was some sort of planetary alignment on friday that prevented things from going my way... but we ended up dragging meaghan along with us, so it was me, her, nick and jason. good times with that. we sat in white spot out in mission (because everyone knows that the middle of nowhere is so much cooler than civilization...) for a bit, and had some food, told some jokes that were derogatory to americans and people from quebec (seeing that, as canadians, it's actually pretty socially acceptable to tell jokes like that.) and threw things (yeah, we're mature.) and then went for slurpees on our way back and stuff. it was fun, and nick and jason are great people to hang out with. the kind of people that really make me reconsider my whole idea about hating all people... then today was fun as well...i got to meet aubrey, lia, marcella, and lindsay. we all actually managed to find each other, and then wandered about, saw some xmas trees, and took a picture of the prettiest cement truck in the world. strangers are not as scary as i had thought. either that, or i am becoming social... and then tomorrow, i am leaving for kelowna, and won't be back until i think the 27th. maybe the 28th...i'll miss my computer a lot. i hate travelling for that very reason. plus, it's xmas, and i hate that as well. (and yeah, as much as i complain, there are things i like. such as...ummm....music and stuff. really.) in other news of horrible things happening...i find that the eminem song from 8 mile is starting to grow on me. as much as i hate eminem, that song is just catchy. i ran into justin on my way home tonight. he couldn't remember my name. just an example of how memorable i can be. does anyone else notice how seasonal candy is the best thing ever? (candycanes, creme eggs, mini eggs, etc.) what is with that? i think they should just sell the really good candy all year...or is ot because you can only get it at certain times what makes it better to begin with? and also, on a completely unrelated note, why is it that there is always a cute stranger in the skytrain? is it a law of the skytrain? or is it just coincedental? hope everyone has a merry holiday season (seeing as how it's politically incorrect to say christmas and all...)
